Chelsea Tap Up Cole (http://skysports.planetfootball.com/ARTICLE.ASP?ID=281898)

Chelsea have been found guilty of tapping up Ashley Cole and have 14 days to respond to the conclusion of the case.

I have to say this was always going to be the likely outcome... people's thoughts?

Thoughts?

(a) Don't really care.
(b) What's the punishment - a fine? If so, I'm sure Mr. Abramovic will be chuckling as he munches on his beluga caviar.

This tapping up story is one of the dullest tales of the year. The phrase "so bloody what?" does jump to mind. The only interesting thing about it is that it's a metaphor for everything that is wrong about the Premier$hite - the Gordon Gecko "greed is good" mentality that has swept across the boardrooms of the top flight in this land.

Until the time that someone runs that angle in the press - and, hmm, how likely is that when The Sun and The Times (prop.: R. Murdoch) will be reporting on The Premier$hite as shown exclusively on Sky (prop.: R. Murdoch) - then we should all deny this tawdry bull$%&* tale the oxygen of publicity it needs.

so tapping up doesn't happen outside the Premier$hite....it happens in all walks of life....and it will always go on....the only thing Chelsea did wrong was they were arrogant enough to get caught.....

A bit of no-win situation so far as their punishment goes, methinks.... it would not be fair to their current players to dock points yet any fines would easily be gobbled up by Abramovic's vast coffers.

Like anyone outside Arsenal or Chelsea fans care anyway, after all, it probably happens all the time. It's just that Chelsea were very stupid.

It annoys me that Ar$enal are acting whiter than white.

I'm sure they've tapped up players, and whilst they may have obeyed the letter of the law when signing players like Anelka and Fabregras I seem to recall the clubs who had produced these players being up in arms at the time.

Hmm, I'm sure the multi-billionaire Abramovic is really smarting at a fine of £300K.

If Abramovic has £5bn in the bank (which reportedly he does), then on a scale comparison, imagine if you had £500K in the bank (you'd be pretty happy with that, no doubt!).

It would be like you getting a £3 fine.

Yup, I bet Roman's really smarting at that one.
