All teams are in and the fixtures have been generated. I've tried to ensure that lower level teams get at least one game away at higher level opposition. The fixtures aren't totally the same as the original draft, please follow the link to check the fixture list and post your match ID here once it's arranged. Obviously you won't be able to arrange the fixtures till tomorrow earliest.

Good luck all, let's hope this works.

Silly question - presumably we're doing Cup rules ?

Nope, not a silly question; and not cup rules during the group stages.

Normal rules in the group stages, and then cup rules for the knock-out stages.

Actually Matt it is a bloody silly question because if the dweeb had been bothered to read the rules of the cup it tells you there what to do.

Sometimes, Andee, we have to concede that it is Mohammed who must go to the mountain...

Thanks for the clarification MtS - A very simple answer to a very simple question (unlike Mr Crochetty).

Sort Your Own Bloody Life Our Andee !!! (http://www.shrimperzone.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=14;t=10751)

Well naturally I did some investigation on the topic entitled rules that was (and still is) pinned and locked at the top of this very forum. *These failed to answer my question. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif

In Mr C's defence I will refer the honourable gentleman to the rules on the cup site:

Quote[/b] ]
match arrangement:
• The matches have to be arranged on your own through friendly challenges in hattrick.
groupphase
• The 'friendlies' of the groupphase should be arranged in normal mode!
• If a match wasn't played the admin will decide on its outcome. (3:0 for a winner or 0:0 for a tie)
knockout round
• The 'friendlies' of a knockout round should be arranged in cup mode!
• If a match wasnt arranged in cup-mode and ends with a tie the winner will be selected randomly.
• If a match wasn't played the admin will decide on who may advance to the next round.

Exactly those are the rules i was referring to as this competition is being organised by MrB, so it is his rules not mine you should be reading. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

GNH United vs Shrimperzone F.C. Match ID: 47241819

I'll play some reserves just to give him a chance. http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

I have no chance, as I have had quite a few injuries of late i have been chopping and changing my first team line up to muster a starting XI. Therefore I will be lucky finding 8 "reserves" as according to the rules to even get a team out http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif

gnh - a reserve is someone who has not played the last two league/cup games

So if you have been chopping and changing then these players who have not played two consecutive league/cup matches will be eligible.

Strange, Hattrix hasn't picked up Ben's friendly. Had a look and it's showing up on Matt's fixture list but not Ben's. Hopefully this will resolve itself!

Pearlstars v The Shrimpers and SUFC v Quackers left to do.

Cheers Andee, I read it as the player not playing in both of these games.

Thanks to Crabby for a great game, and thanks to Mr. B for organising the tournament - top effort, sir.

Looks like the SZ Cup is on its way home...!

Well played. A disappointingly one sided affair in the end.

Also, thanks to Mr B for organising the tournament and letting us play the final at his great stadium.

Now for further humiliation as I replay FC Gambero http://www.shrimperzone.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
