This role is an entry level scheme designed as an alternative route to University. In place of a degree, you will receive training (in the classroom as well as while working) to become a chartered accountant.

Essential Qualifications - Educated to ‘A’ level grades A*-C or equivalent, with GCSE English and Mathematics grades A*-C or equivalent

A shame it's based in MK, as it would have done my friend's son perfectly.

Lol, I'm not sure at 18 he's quite ready for that standard of living!

Generation snowflake :winking:

In all seriousness there's always shared housing advertised on the Intranet. We get a lot of graduates straight out of Uni who house share.

My company is looking for tipper drivers. Any Class 2 drivers out there who fancy it then PM me. We are based in Purfleet and are one of the better payers.

Not sure what any/all of these would entail, but these are latest vacancies here in our Hammersmith* office. Give me a shout if you want to know more...

Hey Chaps!

I'm looking for something part time. Dancing preferably, although I will consider something more.. manual labour. Not actual lifting, moving stuff or carrying, more the sitting down kind of manual labour, but not in an office.

I am on a strict curfew so am only available 10am - 4pm Tuesdays and Thursdays and the position absolutely MUST NOT be within 2 miles of any school, public park, beach or other area where kids or adults with learning disabilities may be..

Many Thanks

Tarquin - I've been giving this some thought. It is quite a tall order to meet all your requirements but a community radio station berth may offer an opening, though you'll probably need to check with the Station Manager if any adults with learning disabilities are about at those times. You can have a bit of dancing to the records too in the studio. I quite like being a bit cheeky too when playing some of those Gary Glitter records as well. I often say "... and that's the artist formerly known as Paul Raven/Gadd ..." as those records remain 'poptastic'!

Hey Chaps!

I managed to bag a couple of hours helping out at an old peoples home. It's pretty easy really - just wheel some old fart from their room to the main room and back and listen to the occasional complaint about my language. Quite lucrative too. I've already snaffled a couple of watches and wallets, jewellery etc.

Also managed to pinch a nice vase thing from some old scrote whilst he was in the bog - it was on a shelf next to some pictures of his missus. I tipped out the dust and soot crap that was in it and gave it a rinse... should be able to get a tenner for it at least I reckon.

Toodle Pip!

We are a local company who have been established over 30 years now with myself and other qualified tradesmen. We specialise in all types of supply and refurbishment and are currently seeking new work.

Due to the fact a local bathroom company went into liquidation owing us and our clients huge amounts of monies it left us culpable for putting two may eggs in one basket but, with legal claw backs and donating our own monies we were able to satisfy all of our clients needs.

We are therefore looking for new projects for our team and work. We have worked for several Zone members before and I hope they can qualify our credentails without naming them. We can also provide a portfolio of past installations.

We cover every aspect of refurbishments including all installation. Project Management-Design-Kitchens-Bathrooms-Carpentry-Plastering-Rendering-New Windows-Plumbing-Tiling- Electrics-Decorating-All flooring-Garden Landscaping-Driveways and so much more.

We have, after so many years a great realtionship with most of the biggest manufacturers in the country, so are able to offer very competative prices.

We pride ourselves on customer service from day1 to completion and beyond.

Please contact me by PM if you are thinking of having work/projects done in the near future or need any advise (no obligation)

Thanking you in advance.

John.

We used to have a forum like this, but it seems to have got lost in the migration.

Sorry to hear about this @Cricko and I'd certainly be happy to recommend you and your guys. Did a great job installing a new - and troublesome (See Rip Off Britain last week) - Wren kitchen for us, and also replaced my mum and dad's kitchen.

Happy for you to add photos (mine are too large to upload).

Would this be the local bathroom company that changes name and premises every two years or so...

We have some jobs going at our Hammersmith HQ (and senior levels allow remote working). Back office we have some finance positions. If you have an academic background in health research/psychology/economics/maths and an interest in the pharmaceutical industry/consulting then there are a range of technical roles open as well. Give me a shout if interested.

Kind of @Mad Cyril , they were a breakaway outfit from the original ones by Halfords and moved to Chalkwell park area, they survived 5 years there but had to move when the owner decided to convert the building to flats. They went to an industrial estate, which I told them was a very bad move and lasted 10 months there..They left untold debts everywhere and were still taking cutsomers money up until they day before they shut. It has been a very expensive exercise for me let alone the loss of income as we were fitting over 30 bathrooms a year at one time.

oooh nice. I didn't realise you've changed sector. It's an interesting area and a good place for technical people to move into

Unfortunately a lot of the interesting work is not going to be happening in London so I am on the lookout for something new in the Scala/Spark/Data Engineering space.

ahh ok that makes sense. at my old work we had a massive EHR/claims dataset but the interesting work was out of the US and then the main developer team was in India so it was a bit of a funny combination. They're probably crying out for some technical people but not 100% sure I'd recommend the firm. My currently place doesn't have inhouse data. Fingers crossed for the job hunt
