Question What is making you happy today?

My Ipod playing Rossini's William Tell overture and still knowing that 32 years ago I was right and the muppets I went to school with were @rseholes.

Cryptic I know but the memories make me smile.

I have just watched (via video link) good friends getting married at the Little Chapel, Las Vegas, with Elvis doing the ceremony; really great!

I'm over it now, but driving through Leicester on Wednesday I saw somewhere called the 'Pork Pie Roundabout'. Great name for a bit of street furniture.

Popped out for lunch in Regent Street, bumped in to my wife's cousin. Love that sort of thing - totally unexpected and great to have a catch up. Even if he does support West Ham.

Carried on from the "What is hacking you off today?" thread...

So, I rang back and explained all that was going on and how much I had been messed around, and was offered £10 compensation. I explained that I didn’t know if this was a good deal or not, because I didn’t know if this even made up the difference given that I now had to order a more expensive replacement since I wasn’t prepared to ring all the other stores (which was the CS agent's original suggestion). She upped the offer to £15. I then explained that I had no intention of paying a delivery charge because I had already paid that as part of the original order, and I didn’t see why I should pay it twice because of their screw up.

I therefore paid £32 for the item, plus a £3 delivery charge, and was given an £18 (i.e. £15 + £3 delivery charge) refund.

The original item was £22, I now have an upgraded item for £17.

Is there a big chunk of this post missing?

I used to go to Goodrington sands as a youngster in the early 80's. I loved the way the cliffs were lit up at might.

We used to drive through the night and go for a massive fry up in Brixham.

What's it like these days?

It's still really nice. They have a steam train that goes a few miles along then can the ferry to.Dartmouth which is really lovely. The beach is still fab, red sand included. Drove to Paignton last night and far too commercialised for me. Off to Babbacombe model village this evening

Ah schadenfreude...my ASBO scumbag neighbours getting a parking ticket, knowing that I could of warned them and saved them £35. :hilarious:
