Do you really think that these two are buying Benson for Cheltenham? Gosh, that's just the kind of co-operation between clubs that sets the lower leagues apart. You certainly couldn't imagine a Premier League player helping a cash-strapped rival in this way, and at least we can be sure that our gate money is being used charitably, if not wisely.

To be fair to the club it said it wouldn't sell its best players in last Jan window and they stuck to that.

Not a great idea really as Jackman signed for Kidderminster (!!?) yesterday. The Assombolonga / Timlin partnership is something special at this level in terms of their pace and movement and it will take us up if properly supported. We should be looking to move on any two of Benyon, Harris and (really sad to say it) Eastwood to free up wage bill space for a wide left player - Holmes would be ideal but I think it was said someone else is on Sturrock's radar but was currently injured,
