Any advice for the players for the Burton home leg?

As we were all huddled in for a final pre match pep talk from our manager for Southend United Supporters Club a few years back which proved an inspiration to all of us .....

after a particularly long pause to build tension + anticipation , we were treated to these 3 words of wisdom .......

" DONT BE SH*T !!!!!! "

Phil Brown - choose the right players

Barry Corr - focus on scoring, they will try to get you sent off.

Kevan Hurst - make sure your radar is properly calibrated

Lee Barnard - if you get on to the pitch play like you used to be able to

Freddy - give it your all (this could be your last game for Southend...)

Daniel - command your area, and practise saving penalties

John White - keep your temper

Ryan Leonard - practise top corner screamers

Murphy - keep the ball and run like hell

The rest - keep on, don't lose faith, it only takes a few seconds to score a goal.....
 
To Barry Corr. Penalty...Yes, Free Kick...No.
Stop fouling so much. Don't let the opposition wind you up, keep cool. And get on the end of those crosses.
This game is tailor made for a Barry Corr headed goal.

Lots of balls into the box...Don't let the refs decisions and the oppositions tactics frustrate you, get on with the game.

Can't bear another season against some of the dross in the FL, and with such awful refs.
 
give it of your best .Dont stress if the ball doesnt go in in the first 30 mins because its a game of 90 mins . And put plenty crosses in but dont feed there keeper with every cross .

Lee, I must go to a game with you sometime because I just do not know what you see. From where I sit Corr gets excellent support from all over the pitch.

That said, if our goal posts were as high as those in Rugby then Barry would have scored more than Suarez this season!!!
