Can anyone think of a popular blues striker that has come back for a second spell and shown any kind of quality comparable to their first spell? Fred will always be a legend at our club, I still have his name on the back of my shirt but I think we all know that nowadays it's his past glories and respect from the club that means he is still under contract at the Hall. Atleist he still shows some nice, clever touches every now and again to excite us fans but bar scoring a penalty I can't think of one thing Lee Barnard has done since coming back. These aren't even old players they are both not older than 30 and at league two level you'd think they'd be putting in better performances even if they aren't banging in the goals. Even taking Neil Harris into account who never played for us previously but was a lifelong fan, although he was an honest, hard working fella he didn't exactly set the place alight. Wondering if any of you guys can remember any players coming back for a second spell and having a positive impact?

Love both Barney and Freddy for what they did for us but I think both are sadly passengers these days. Love to proved wrong especially about Fred who is my favourite ever player but I think time to move on.

Barnard might be better at a L1 club. Give him a pre-season here and get him fully integrated into the side then who knows.

Fans love an a ex player. If you read the ex players thread, there's people advocating giving a contract to Leon Johnson.
