Couldn't see this posted anywhere else...
PB was on TalkSport's The Warm-Up show today where he had a quick discussion about pre-season training. At the end he was asked where we would finish the season, to which he said "Number 1".

Interview starts around 17mins and ends around 22min 30secs. The question is asked around 21mins 55secs.

Silly question really, i mean was he going to say relegated, its every managers ambition to finish top of the league. If he had said anything else i would have been worried.I myself would be happy with just promotion ,whether its 1st ,2nd ,3rd or from playoffs.

An interesting interview to listen to. PB sounded incredibly relaxed and there was no mention of anything which may adversely affect the side this season. Whether 'No 1' was just a throwaway line I don't know but he didn't say 'in the mix' or any other top finish footballing speak, so championship here we come. In Phil we trust!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Completely light-hearted and amusing banter. Trying to extrapolate anything from the response to the question, "where will you finish this season?" is attributing an importance to the interview, which wasn't there.

He mentions Ivan Campo what a surprise  I like Phil, much easier to relate to than Sturrock.
