Well we can dream cant we ? .....

According to the Daily Mail today , She is looking to buy a UK team , and what better club can she buy than the nearest seaside town to Englands capital !

We have massive potential , and have a string of Carribean players over the years , including the great Louie Soares :winking:from Rihanna's native Barbados . Watching Southend is just like watching Brazil ( where she caught the football bug ) .

She could finally get our new stadium " The Rihanna Arena " open + play concerts during the summer

If anyone out there can tweet her + use all power of persuasion that Southend United is the club for her , we could be saved from the Uncle Ron era !!! Does she know about Southend Pier ? Does she know our manager has the exact same face complexion ?

Can anyone think of other reasons why Rihanna needs to choose the Blues .........
 
Would she really want to have to compete for the celeb lime-light with Alison Moyet though?
 
Barbados to the sunny Essex riviera? Hope she brings her Umbrella and what is that track ' Hatin' on the club' about? She had better not!

A quick lesson in how to make advert revenue on the internet (hint: it begins with not giving a damn about declining journalism standards).

1) Begin by reading a newspaper other than your own, say, for example, the Daily Star, a publication famed for its accurate and balanced reporting.

2) Take some juicy quotes from a 'source'. How about these: "At first we thought Rihanna's desire to be involved with soccer on a business level would soon blow over. We figured she was still on a high from the World Cup.

"But now it's becoming clear she really is serious. She's talking about setting up a football academy in her native Barbados. Then her big dream is to be involved with a UK club.

"Britain is like a second home to her, although she's also hinted she may do something with an LA team."

3) Blah, blah, blah, Mr Unnamed Source, with all your details and conjecture.

Let's slap a simple headline on this: 'Rihanna plans to buy a UK club after she sets up a football academy in Barbados.'

That's it, people don't want to hear that Rihanna might be setting up a football academy in Barbados or that she might be interested in buying a UK club. They want to hear that she definitely is going to do exactly that.

4) The final step: tweet it out. 'Rihanna is planning to buy a football club in the UK.'

Boom. Watch those retweets and clicks start piling in.

Congratulations kid, you've just made it as a Daily Mail reporter. Now, what do you think of Mesut Ozil?

We might have to put out an "S.o.S" to her, so that she may become interested to "Run this Town" club. I can see her being the "Only Girl (in the World)" who would be interested in buying us. We all "Love the way you Lie" Ron but the the new stadium fiasco is leading us to become a "Disturbia". One issue I can see though, is if Rihanna does take over, a certain league manager may end up being "Unfaithful" again!

Nicely constructed but you can only be unfaithful if you have been faithful :whistling:

Good knowledge of Rhianna's early work. SOS is one of my fave tunes of hers and sampled Soft Cell's Tainted Love. Also liked her debut single Pon De replay but shes more commercialised nowerdays
 
If Ron sells the Club, I think that Rihanna '' COUDA BEEN THE ONE'. The sale would no doubt be '' COMPLICATED '', it always is where Ron is involved. He would need to ''JUMP'', '' BREAK IT OFF '' and say ''FAREWELL''. When Rihanna takes over, she would make sure '' ALL OF THE LIGHTS'' are working and she would then join the ''MAD HOUSE''. Let's do it ''RIGHT NOW'' and say a ''FINAL GOODBYE'' to Ron. 'CHEERS (DRINK TO THAT ).
