If true, that's amazingly awful...........never knew it was anywhere near that number. Tragic and disgusting, certainly something which needs more publicity.

I'd love a celeb to really take notice and start a campaign that targets boycotting of FIFA sponsors. The only way to affect change with FIFA is to hit them in the wallet.

Never has a sport felt so detached from its fan base.

Hahahahaha, who would expect anything else from this bunch of corrupt clowns? No respect for the European clubs and no respect for Christmas......Final on the 23rd of December!........why not the 25th whilst they're about it? I'd boycott it and let FIFA fall apart. The results can't be any worse than what we've got at the moment. Tell Blatter and his chronies to go and f**k themselves.

Is Phil Neville on Twitter? I think a barrage of tweets about the amount of dead workers may be in order.

The graph seems to come from a figure of how many migrant workers have died since the World Cup was awarded, however it doesn't make sense to use that figure since many migrant workers are not working on the world cup. This article suggests the figure is closer to 350, the human rights issues aren't restricted to football, if the World Cup hadn't been awarded thousands would probably still have died.

Irrelevant. A country with such atrocious human rights should NEVER been awarded such a prestigious competition.

Absolutely not but it'd be nice if people acknowledged how bad the whole of Qatar is rather than just focusing on the football side of things. If any positive has come out of this it's that Qatar is now under a lot of pressure to change how they work migrant workers, which people wouldn't have been paying attention to if they hadn't got the world cup.

Not sure why it's still being called the 2022 World Cup, when the final is due to be no later than 18th Dec 2021

my belief is that England and a few other big name european countries should boycott the next 2 woeld cups and form their own competition to run at the same time as those world cups and invite other nations to express an interest in playing in them, be nice to see what sort of respnse they would get, im sure australia woulld be interested .

It could be called the Confederations Cup, 24 teams, 8 from Europe, 4 South American, 2 North American, 4 African, 4 Asian/Pacific & 2 wild card selections from world rankings list. Host it in UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland with a group each. Summer of 2022 is free after all.
