Glad we are in a tax avoidance article. Putting to one side the fact that avoidance is legal, evasion is illegal; surely for it to be a concern we have to make a profit first? A non story for all but the premiership clubs I'm afraid.

PS I'm pretty sure Mezcal's involvement was highlighted before by our departed friend Irate Ian, the bigger problem from a Southend fans perspective being the identity of Mezcal's owner.

The club doesn't evade tax, it just forgets to pay it.

Our departed friend ian is not here.............All his paperwork on the football club has been saved so he is here in his own way if needed.............
