Is it possible in your opinion to be Left wing but not support Corbyn?

The reason I ask is that he did not have a tremendous amount of support from his own MP's last year...are those MP's Tories in disguise?

Yes of course. You only have to look at about 2/3's of the current PLP to see that.

Hopefully, from Conference onwards in September, there will be a lot more visible support for JC and his policies, from the Labour movement in general and the PLP in particular.

It looks like the Unions, the Labour movement and the Country are now moving behind him.Time for the PLP to get on board I think.

There is an argument on the left, (which I don't necessarily endorse), to the effect that if the PLP had supported JC more fully in the 2 years before this year's general election, then Labour could have won it.Makes you think though.

Look at Venzelua, they are a country that is ****ed up by their communist (socialist) PM, yet your Hero praised him. I remember our country run by communist in the 1980's & it's was the darkest years for Poland, we are much better than over 30 years ago!

Think UK had a lucky escape not to have him as PM.

Two very different forms of politics. It's sad that people see Socialism and equate it with Stalin & Mao.

Any comparisons between Venezuela,Poland and the UK in terms of Socialism are half baked to say the least.

While JC has praised Chavez it's not true ( as far as I'm aware) that he has praised Maduro.

Worth mentioning that contemporary Poland has its own political problems too.

And not to mention our serving PM is selling arms to a country that is funding terrorism here and around the Western World and carrying out atrocities in Yemen, but JC gets pilloried.

And Russia and China fund the rest. What's your point exactly, condemnation for us but forgiveness for those 'socialist' nations that do the very same thing but as Corbyn speaks up for them then thats ok?

What I'm saying is that the press has a go at Corbyn over Venezuala, but gives May a free ride over Saudi. Double standards from the RW press as per usual.

He barely knows the bloke.

Ah, the old Owen Jones defence. Quick, over there! Look! Something else!

I agree, it is double standards, most if not all of the press, right or left report to their own agenda, I object to those on here with brains bigger than garden peas blaming one side in the belief that the other are going to be our saviours. If Corbyn becomes PM he will have wise up real quick to the fact that dealing with the unsavory is part and parcel of government whether he likes it or not. Morals will have no part to play.

Are you a Corbynista now? :winking:

Quite frankly I'm amazed that a Labour party member is digging up dirt against his own party.

Thought that's what Tories were supposed to do? :winking:

typical of you lot. instead of trying to answer even mildly difficult questions you attack the person asking it.
So we should just always be partisan and throw **** at the other side should we? that's your answer is it?

who is 'you lot'? Surely everyone on here is posting on behalf of themselves rather than as a spokesperson for anyone else.

Quite frankly comrade, I think you'd be much better off saving your ammunition for the right-wingers on SZ (and there are loads), rather than targetting those on the left (like me and a few others).

Perhaps you should provide a list of Zoners that you believe should be targeted?
