Very similar to hubby though he's not out as early and stays out a bit later during the week. He generally takes Tuesdays off as well unless he has a private booking.

Product Manager, Asia Pacific for an American Bank in HK. Commute 55 mins each way. Typical hours 830 to 630/7pm and the occasional weekend day, all too common over the last few weeks. At least 3 nights a week will see me on evening conf calls on the way home or home. Blackberry automatically switches off at 10pm and on again at 615. Friday night from 6pm is a repeat booked out on the calendar. Finish work and strictly no calls.

Wouldn't change it for the world. If I want to work from home I can make that decision for myself and I will spend 2-3 hours down the local beach with the iPad. If i want to disappear at 4pm I can do it. I do a quiz night most Wednesdays at 830pm and at least one of the weekend days or evenings is set aside for drinks, plus I also play football once per week. It funds a lifestyle and enables me to support, back here, the wife, kids, two horses, two dogs, 3 cats, several Koi Carp, a Sturgeon and the latest addition, 10 chickens arriving Saturday.

Getting to see plenty of Asia on business and pleasure, though money really is tight this year after house purchase at Easter. HK is a beautiful and safe place and nothing like you see on TV, that madness really only makes up a small part. I wake up,every morning to a maid bringing my cuppa onto the balcony while I listen to silence and birds singing.

None of the above. It's more of a financial services bank than investment bank. Ok i will give it away' largest custody bank in the world. I don't work on the custody/investment management side. Collateral Management for Securities and Derivatives if that means anything to you.

I love my life.

You missed the one hour breakfast, turning up late on the job with yolk on your T shirt and then leaving early at the merest hint of rain......

Retired. My contributory productive hours to life are nil according to Mrs RHB, but she likes my pension.

Good for you and enjoy it. Myself, I still have a long way to go.

Teacher

Get in at 7am usually leave between 5-6pm. Don't usually take any planning / marking home in evenings or weekends.

Do a lot of work-related stuff like conferences, writing, blogging etc in the evenings and weekends... this is finally starting to pay off financially!

Commute is a 5 min drive. Having done an 1hr+ one, this is JOY!
