Games Will Go Ahead
Coventry City's League One games at the Ricoh Arena against Southend United and Gillingham will go ahead as scheduled despite the Ricoh Arena hosting the Insomnia Gaming Festival, according to James Roger of the Coventry Telegraph.
Insomnia have booked two festivals across the August Bank Holiday weekend and in November but they will not affect the Sky Blues ability to host the home games against Southend United or Gillingham, according to the article, which can be read by clicking on http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/coventry-city-fc-match-against-9517485

Insomnia have booked a festival for the weekend Southend United will be playing, are they hoping the game will be the cure? :winking:

There were a few home games last season when it really would have been......................

A difficult ground to park at, but some good car parks within walking distance that can be pre-booked.

I did that a few years ago when I visited to tick the Ricoh off the list of 92. Freddy was playing for Cov v Watford but not one of his best games:sad:

Gutted to miss this one, on our hols. Remember last time we played them it ****ed it down with rain and Gower scored a late equaliser I think

An equaliser for sure, but not long after half time. The time before that when we played Coventry away in a League game was a 5-2 win ..... just over 50 years ago !!!

Cheers for that, just couldn't remember the details. Only other thing I remember is a huge scramble the opposite end to us where Eastwood thought he had scored

Is Coventry's stadium a photocopy of another stadium

Wasnt poor old Jimmy Hill manager of Coventry then .

Just don't try and train it up there, for some weird and wacky reason they built it six miles from the station. You will need a taxi. And a minor miracle if you want to get home in time for MOTD.

Building a station at the Ricoh maybe open in time.

Ooh, their site didn't mention that.

Mind you, you've got more chance of getting through Spaghetti Junction in five minutes than finding anything on that site of thiers. I've seen newborns design better...

Now we're quits:smile:

Train station to / from the ground looks like a hassle.

Big game for us in the minds of the fans but looks like they are not that enthused about going to their own games bearing in mind they could fit 32k in their.

Average Attendance (at Sixfields Stadium)
2013-2014: 2,348 (League One)

Average Attendance (At The Ricoh Arena)
2012-2013: 10,997 (League One)
2011-2012: 15,119 (Championship League)

To be fair, last season back at the Ricoh, their attendences were a lot better than a Sixfields (understandably).
