SOUTHEND United are attempting to bring full-back Luke O’Neill back to the club on loan from Burnley, Echosport understands.

Beautiful cross-field ball that ended with both a goal and him pulling up injured.

This Kennedy sounds pretty useful.

The Echo said that Kennedy is known to be a threat from set pieces and could head to Spain ! The back of the net would be far enough.

O'Neill is a much better and more proven player than JBW imo. Would be good competition for White at RB

Why?

I could understand if we're going to get him in permanently as an upgrade on White but we've still got White, who's his captain.

Why not?

Maybe we are looking at a year long loan, which would be as good as a signing, or a 3 month "try before you buy."

If he better than our current players or offers good competition at full back and potentially centre back surely that is a good thing.

Anyone know if O'Neill can offer cover at LB at all? I can't see us bringing in both him and JBW (and JBW I would only want permanently) but a bit concerned what we would do for backup to Coker if he gets injured again...
