Well done to all involved. Welcome to the mad house Noel, just score a hatrick on debut and the fans will love you !

I dont think PB would play Hunt or Mooney as lone forwards as they would not be effective.

Can you imagine Brett Angell without an Ian Benjamin?

Imo Hunt is the player to win the ball and hold it up for Mooney to get a lot of goals whilst he chips in with 10-12 of his own:thumbsup:

I'd like to hope not but who knows with PB

seems a great signing, to follow up on the point above can you see us altering to a 4-4-2, or a 4-4-1-1 to accommodate the new signings?

I reckon the latter would be the favoured
Formation, PB does like a busy midfield and make us hard to breakdown

Other than Corr leaving it's been quite a remarkable summer so far. I'd given up on Timlin when 10 clubs were interested including his team Millwall, but we managed to pull that one off. Rumours of Ipswich interested in Coker will hopefully be met by him signing a 3 year deal for us. Mooney looks like a very astute signing and Wordsworth was a huge coup, and now beating Chicago Fire to the signing of Noel.

As others have said you can say what you want about Phil but he's superb at bringing in talent, creating a great environment and keeping players here.

Anyway back to Noel, welcome to the club!

Seems logical, if we can keep Coker (who, along with Wordsworth has looked the best for me in pre-season) and Bentley set for a decent run at the season. If we can get to 15/16th when the end of the season rolls around I will take that to build on.

Excellent news, lets hope he has good as people are saying he is.

If we can pick up McLaughlin on a permanent deal - or failing that a season long loan - that'd top off a fantastic summer's worth of business.

Cant help thinking Corr would have worked very well with either of our new striker signings. Oh well, on-wards and upwards.

Good (I hope!) The news comes rather like that of the relief of Mafeking.............the time it's taken for him to sign, it seems as though he has already been here a couple of years.:winking:

Indeed it would. And let's not forget too that we were 3 weeks behind on almost everyone else due to the play-offs. Brown and his staff (along with Ron) have done a fantastic job.

Great signing, cant see the formation changing though, can only really vision Mooney & Hunt playing as a pair if we fall behind in games

If we play them together up front in a 442 formation then we won't fall behind in games in the first place

Blimey SBH, he's obviously been sold on the casinos in Southend judging by that! And he'd better have stopped supporting West Ham!!!
