SOUTHEND United centre-back Adam Barrett will be bidding to keep his close friend Alex Revell quiet this weekend.

Don't get me wrong, I like Adam Barrett, but is this really the best he could come up with:

He chases everything and he’s gone on to have a really good career which has been shown by the career he’s gone on to have.

And a 'cuter' player may have earned him a red card if he had dropped to the floor squealing for the raised arm into Thommo's face......

I personally liked, and still do like, Revell. He gave 100% to us for the whole time he was with us, whether you think he was good or not is irrelevant. The one thing you can't argue with was the fact he gave his all for Southend.

He may not score many but did anyone see the goal he scored against Orient in the play off final?!

Is that what you really meant?

Yep, still rankles with me how we were conned by the more 'experienced' teams during our last venture into the second tier. Players from teams such as Derby and Leicester hit the turf as soon as slight breeze came in from the Estuary....

Donkey of a player who has earn a lot of money for doing nothing except running around and very occasionally scoring a goal....fraud
The leagues are full of players like this. Revel was a reasonable servant for us , played his heart out but I accept not very productive unless the stato's tell me different
