Should we bring back Loza?

Of course that is priority. But when you think we have Prosser, Barrett, Thompson, Bolger. Do we really need anymore centre backs? And if so would that mean one leaves? Also do we need to get cover in for Coker?

No I was joking a bit I believe the boys we have are capable of turning it around. Lets not go over old ground but we were certainly not 4 goals worse than Millwall. It does however seemed to have knocked the confidence out of the side, especially at the back.

For me I prefer Bolger. He is the best in the air (when on form) and we have struggled with crosses (first goal Saturday) and from set pieces. We certainly need to start winning the first header when defending corners. No good blaming Bentley for not diving on a lose ball (Sheffield) when we can't deal with a very average delivery.

I like Thompson but he is not big enough to be a commanding centre half in the air. For me Bolger looks more comfortable and confident with AB sweeping behind. So that would be my choice.

As for cover for Coker. I don't think we need or will sign a specialist left back. Prosser done a good job away at Millwall and White done an even better job at home to Millwall for the second half. O'Neil can fill in where needed.

Lets save our money and put it in the striker pot.

Agree ...White..Bolger..Thompson/Barrett..Prosser....pretty decent back 4.....speed required to assist striker/s please PB..our goal difference is currently poo and needs to improve, as I believe it might be crucial come the end of the season

No harm another striker in Loza, competition is good. Maybe we should also be looking at midfield and centre back to get us back on track. Who was that loan player from Wigan we had at centre back, he was class?

Rob Kiernan, now plays for Rangers.

He has the one thing that we are lacking and that is pace. No defenders like playing against quick people, he may therefore create space for others to cash in on. He is worth another look at.

We already have one very speedy striker but sadly he can't score goals either (and he's injured).

I can only assume you're talking about Weston, who isn't a striker. So no we don't have a speedy striker.

He has pace which we lack so he could be a good foil for our other strikes, but he hasn't scored a single goal in his other loan spells.

I see Jason Williams scored again for the U21s...

Have mentioned this a few times on Twitter - not entirely sure what the current management has against Williams - looks like everything we are crying out for - huge strength, turn of pace and clearly knows where the back of the net is.

Dorian Dervite (chk spelling), IMO, was good when he was with us.....currently at Bolton, flat broke, willing to listen to any offers

I'd chew my own knackers off for a chance to sign Dervite again - one of the most complete defenders I've seen in a Southend shirt in recent times.

LOL as I was posting this comment someone else was posting that Coker was out for 4/5 weeks.

Obviously that changes things as it will be more than one or two games. Can't remember a season with so many injuries. I mean there's always been the odd game missed with a knock, or someone breaks a leg. But these all seem to be what I would call mid-range injuries.

The joys of being a Football manager.

Lots of reaction here....it is ONLY on trial atm. Gives the lad a chance to show PB how he has grown and improved. If it ends up as a loan then we can always send him back if he turns out pants. Everyone deserves a chance...back off please.

In response to the suggestion of Dervite ...and he scored a nice own goal at the weekend I believe.

Personally dont see the harm in giving him a month on loan. We do lack pace and at the moment Hunt looks a shadow of himself and Mooney has yet to score in open play at Roots Hall. Clearly Williams does not feature in Browns plans, he could score 10 hat tricks in a row and probably still not get on the bench.

Williams is the one I don't understand, why not send him out on loan to gain better experience because he clearly doesn't fit in the first team plans.

He scores goal after goal after goal yet never features for even small cameo roles.
