I don't recall Coventry being somewhere I'd rush back to in any capacity. Only memorable thing to come out of that place were some truly awful cars. Some people really are deluded when it comes to how great their home town is. Scousers are even worse..

On the contrary, I recall an excellent pre match venue in their casino!

I think the fella was referring to us purely in footballing terms. not how quaint our town was. That said, I spend a fair bit of time in Cov, and it ain't great.....

Hold on lads. We do have to face the facts that Coventry have spent many seasons in the top flight and have won the FA Cup. They will be a bigger team than us until we can be in the top flight for 35 seasons and win the Cup ourselves. The comparison with Leeds is even more one-sided. No problem though - we can look forward to great things in the future whereas they can only at most try to re-create what they have already achieved in the past.

We only need to worry when clubs like Burton or Peterborough say they shouldn't be playing at places like Southend.

Lets face it, away fans come to watch football. I just can't see many of them bringing a picnic and going to places like Thorpe Bay common, Chalkwell Park, Hadleigh Castle, Shoebury Common, Chalkwell Beach and Old Leigh. Though I have known of quit a few away fans who have come down in the past and made Old Leigh there place for a few pints before the game and they just love it.

Come on everyone, be fair. Don't you recall that young lady on horseback?

True, but the lady on horseback had her long hair covering the interesting bits. The barmaid at the Blue Boar got her thrupenny bits right out for the lads. And Coventry fans appeared appreciative!
