Another summer where we need to bring in silly amounts of players. Ron wont be splashing the cash, so it's the dregs and loanee's again. It's about time Phil used his amazing contacts and huge stature in the game to bring in some real quality.

1) We should do our utmost to extend Bolger and Deegan's contracts.
2) Loanee situations can be complicated,but clearly those that will be good will be harder to keep eg Kamara,McQueen.
3) Jordan Williams and Cotton are young and totally untried.We will be struggling badly if any of White,Barrett or Atkinson get many more games at this level.

I think we will use the clause to extend Bolger's contract, even if only to try and recoup some of what we paid for him if he does move on.

Cant see any of the loanees signing. Barnett done well in spurts but seems destined to become a bit of journeyman.
Would be flabbergasted if Weston or Hurst get a new deal. Neither have made a meaningful contribution over the last 2 years. It does worry me that Brown talked about Weston provied his point to him? Look at the stats, a complete lack of goals and assists and is probably on a good wage. Another plater dining on one good season with Gillingham.

I can't see any sense in keeping either Hurst or Weston. The former seems to have had a complete career nose dive.

I believe that Deegan's extension may have activated by playing a certain number of games so it became automatic. Hunt and Bolger I think we have the option (although if Noel's was triggered on appearances he would sadly not have got there! still think he can deliver next year but lets see)
