According to the Echo we have signed McGlashan subject to the usual medical.

Are we hoping for a "2 for the price of 1" doctor as the other signing is still awaiting his ?

Now been confirmed as well.

On paper, McGlashan is exactly what we need. A pacy, direct winger who likes to run at players and draws fouls and can chip in with goals as well.

I'm happy with this, another bit of good work from PB and co.

Hi from a lurking Gill's fan. Glash could be a good signing for you. He did well in his first season with us when he was our only threat under the super negative tactics of Peter Taylor.

Last year was a bit of a washout for him. We played a narrow diamond midfield with wingbacks, so he hardly played. However he seems like a good team mate, and did not cause any issues.

He is very very fast over short and long distance and a really hard worker. I would not say he is a bad crosser, just average, the main problem is the team mates never know where he will put it, and he is not the best at looking up and picking people out.

His other issue is he does not do that well as a sub. He is much better starting every week and getting decent minutes, as his first touch can be poor if not getting much game time. He will go at the full back at full tilt all game long, so if you can feed him the ball enough times he will get in behind a decent percentage of the time.

He does work back, but tends to switch off once goal side, so can hang his fullback out to dry on occasion. He did play wingback for us, but was not trusted apart from against the weaker teams at home.

He is seems like a nice guy, and plays with a smile which is always nice to see. He also has a bit of a nasty streak when tackling, but refs let him off because he is so small.

Is he talking about Myles Weston......?

Can see him fitting in nicely ............................

He is a better player than Weston, but can be as frustrating. If he had a better football brain he would not be anywhere near league 1, as he is rapid.

Also think a good sign is when you remember a player in clear detail because of the problems he caused us
