As reported by mcnasty who is attending the AGM at the Civic Centre tonight.

The new planning application for the new stadium will be submitted to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council tomorrow Friday 28th April 2017.

Should that read Friday 27th?? Sorry for being so pedantic

10th May, 7th June and 5th July are next Development Control Committees for Southend Council

According to RM it's 16 weeks to allow for any objections. Provided there are none and plans are approved, work will start immediately

Come on the three sided thing...cannot wait!

Imagine this scene,

7,000 watching the game whilst builders fanny about sizing up the main stand.

Except the 3 sides will hold more than RH does at the moment and you will be able to get served a beer unlike many parts of RH.

wait, run that by me again?

So according to Ron Martin we will be on site in around 16 weeks? Obviously subject to planning consent being approved which I think it will be.

I have to say that I am now much more positive about a stadium build than ever before.

Ron Martin stated the statutory period of 16 weeks last night. This submission is bound to take much longer, and more importantly a S.106 Agreement needs to be agreed with SBC. This involves handing over significant sums for Planning gain prior to implementation of the scheme.

We'll be at the Hall for a while....!
