How long before that idiot who runs Transfercentre9 on twitter picks this up. The same muppet that thinks we are getting £1.25m for Leonard.
 
He'd be a great signing IF there is any truth to it, would be a perfect pro for Ted to learn off, not sure what it would mean for Oxley though. He seemed to get better as the season went on but if he was to be replaced by Given I don't think there would be many complaints
 
Saw this on Wordsworth's twitter feed too, strange one... Excellent keeper, but 41 now !

That said; Buffon is 40 and still playing topflight Serie A
 
Has he had an injury? Maybe he's just down here doing some rehab also. If he's been released then he doesn't have a club to do any rehab. Just a thought, it happens all the time where players don't have a club.
 
We do this a lot for players that have no club and want to keep fit or recover from a niggle, before getting a contract at a club that's interested. It's usually a friend of Phil Brown, Brian Horton, or a friend of one of our players. The upside for us is that we get to have a look at the player, see if he is still any good first and foremost, and see what type of mindset, and whether he would get on with our squad.

Exactly this. PB is known in the footballing world and I'm guessing Oxley is having further treatment as well, so we could be just helping SG out for a few weeks.
