England Youth Football

Well you couldn't have made that up!... we score to win on 2 minutes & 59 seconds of the 3 added minutes of extra time!... Talk about leaving it to the last second!.... If James Bond did football. that's when he would have scored! :smile:

To be fair though, I did think we deserved it over all (despite the stats saying it was 50/50 ball possession) we certainly had the lions share of the game in their territory. Sure they had a few chances, but our defence always looked more solid, and we were unlucky with hitting the post in the 1st half & that remarkable miss at an open goal in the 2nd half, before we scored.

Through to the Euro Final & Bring on Portugal at the Weekend!! :happy:

so far the final is 0-0,just after h/t, very tight game..CUMON England

Well Done to the Young Lions :happy:

We can now add the Euro U19 title to our summer of success!

Great re-action from Suliman to nod home for England's 1st goal.

We did make hard work of it though, what with the own goal and being down to 10 men. But at the end of the day, who cares, we are European Champions for the first time since the competition began!!

:clap::happy::thumbsup:

my son after the game went onto sky&bbc football site,what ever its called,looked about the result-our win ..nothing at that time...but it was on German tv,straight after the game ..things maybe changing,we hope, but we should be promoting our youth football more on tv .This,like the u-20 world cup,u-17.u-21,even Toulon!!how its spelt?? was shown on German tv FREE...and now the German Girls(euros) will be as well.
lets hope we can see much more often OUR youth teams playing live on free tv.
Well done England,you are making us happy

Terrific past few months for the (young) England teams with some outstanding performances from each of the sides. Shame the senior team are such a massive let-down time and time again, and play with far less flair and pride.

Hopefully this will auger well for English football , but somehow i think not,unless things change there and these kids are allowed to progress by their clubs and not be over run by big signing european players as is the case in most premiershite clubs.Well done to all the young lads.
