I am in the camp that won't be shedding a big tear if Wordy is not given a new contract. If it happens I hope it won't be based on performances this year, or a track record of on average barely achieving half a Season for 6 years. He sadly just seems to have these frailties, I would be happier with a pay as you play deal if such a thing exists. Add in Kighly who has been up and down although back to great recently, but with a similar track record in terms of injuries. So effectively if Wordy is signed up, and please not too a long contract, we would have 2 players who if you add up all their appearances struggle to get to 40 games between them . If a small squad is to be persevered with wouldn't this raise questions around our vulnerability, not just in numbers but constantly changing team formats as the hamstrings twang on a regular basis?

I get exactly what you mean and hard to make a case against your comments.
However , I would say that a 'goal scoring midfielder' is a rare commodity at this level and something we should not give up on lightly.

I have amended Manor's listing to just show the players SCP has that are going to be "in contract" at the end of the season; everyone else is playing for their place next season.
There are, imo, a few surprises in those that have got a year or more left with us.

On Twitter it's been announced that Tom Currans, the young central defender, has signed a two year pro deal.

Could someone with authority add him to the list please?

When did this happen?

So defintely signed up , our squad currently could be =

Bishop Bwomono, Kiernan Ferdinand, Coker,

Mc Laughlin Yearwood Demetriou Kightly

Ba and Robinson upfront

Bench = Kyprianou ?
?
Well at least its a side.. Sir Chris said one big announcement this week ( presumably of all the departures )

I love this thread, but I think it's pointless guessing on who will be in our line up next season, Until Manor15 puts up the squad list at the beginning of the season, as usual.

It's way to early.

Totally agree , but its a bit of fun and highlights who we have actually under contract at present, of course as you highlight it will change dramatically,

would I be right to assume that Bexon, Coutts, Bedford, Batlokwa, Phillips, Wabo have all had options activated to keep them contracted until 2019. Strange they've not been mentioned in the retained/released list or subsequent club messages since

Also what's the deal with Klass was very impressed with him last pre-season would like to think we will give him a new contract and loan him out to someone like a Braintree for the season

Thats the wondrous thing about Football we all share different opinions. I agree Klass was quite impressive pre season , but after that he became one of the first on my list to go. I thought he gave some very lazy performances when I watched him, barely got involved and could hardly string a pass. Made Wordy look like ACTION man,
Its a funny old game, he may have something there as only a babe in arms still in footballing terms?

Talking of the youngsters, i'm surprised that we released Harry Cuthbert, the club must have seen something in him, wasn't he captain of your youth team?
