This is where is cant win really is it.

2 weeks back, no signings , his and PB's ambitions being questioned, now ( rightly so ) concerns are being focussed on what happened last time. As I said earlier in the thread , if we expect to improve , better players are needed, meaning higher wages. If it doesn't come off, and we face issues , he could face the wrath of the fans again , BUT if the latter is the car, we need to tell the club we are happy with our lot and survival .... but that's never going to happen is it ! Again, that one season aside , when Ron had no money, he has always backed his managers !
One difference that may be relevant. The players didn't have relegation clauses in their contracts, only promotion clauses. They now have both. Source for that was SK so I can only " assume" it's still the case

Ron Martin is and always will be a crook, but I can turn a blind eye to that whilst we sign good players.

It seems like Ron's saved the money to splash on PB's geriatrics by employing child labour to do up Roots Hall.

The "talented" youngsters are to do 3 weeks of painting as part of understanding "how to manage and maintain Roots Hall stadium".

Not much of a "farewell" concert then. :'( More of a tea-break concert I would say.

Hardly rare in the music business is it? Many bands split, say they'll never work together, and then reform 10 years down the line to pay for their pensions.

Boy, this thread has digressed. Well done all.
