Martin Allen quits Barnet (again) after relegation. Looks likely to be appointed at Chesterfield, the only team in the Football League to finish below Barnet.

Still not sure why he left, he obviously has an affiliation for the club, after 5 spells. Apparently their chairman offered him a great contract and increase the playing budget for next season. His last spell in charge wasn't to shabby either. In the 8 games he managed, he won 5 of them and Barnet only went down on goal difference.

Chris Coleman favourite for the Swansea job. They really have no ambition!

I was thinking the same thing, either that or they couldn't afford what he thinks he is worth. He said he is stepping down to free up some cash for the club, and that he would go on to manage elsewhere.

When he was manger the first time round and Dagenham were in L1 he was on £100,000 per year. He dropped down into the Conference when Luton offered 200k. Many Shrimpers had him on their wish list at the time.
