SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown felt Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at table-topping Wigan Athletic was harsh on his side.

Stop making these stupid statements PB , we are getting hammered on a regular basis now. Do what you are paid for and sort the defence out ! Im sure the team are capable of much more than they are giving at present !

We've played 5 of the 9 teams below us and only beaten 1. No right to complain about a tonking from the league leaders.

Brown you are such a tool. Please go

Why is he?

What he said was true, we were starting to put pressure on them and they hit us twice on the break, albeit the first one from our mistake.

Personally I don't think we deserved anything from the game, but I don't think 3-0 was a fair reflection either.

But hey, what does it matter anyway, you find fault in everything PB does or says

The BBC's website report says the following:

"Although Powell and Toney's goals came in the last six minutes, the scoreline in no way flattered the home side, who were head and shoulders above their opponents even before Jermaine McGlashan was sent off on the hour mark for a two-footed lunge on Callum Elder."

Clearly written by a one-eyed Latics fan. Or not.
