So with enough of that, here's the team to face the Posh..... Thought's and opinions on the initial line up?..

Southend United v Peterborough United

Tonight's team, come on you Shrimpers.

Oxley, Demetriou, White, Leonard, Timlin, Wright, Yearwood, Wordsworth, McLaughlin, Cox, Fortune

Not sure about Fortune & Cox to start. But i think the 4-4-2 formation is our best bet.

I'm a little surprised to see Wright on the right and Yearwood in the centre... There's not a lot protection in that central pairing.

Why six subs?

Most likely seems some incompetence from the media department.

EDIT: Club now tweeted to say Ba is the seventh sub.

No bite in central midfield at all. Can't see that working, even against a team badly out of form. Nevertheless, come on you shrimpers!!!

Initially (looking at cover) I quite like the options from the bench also. Abeit risky. But enough to do a job.

Some of them were playing earlier this afternoon mate against Bournemouth.

A pre match request.

Please Anthony Grant don't score, and Ricky Miller not find your national league form tonight please.

Why does he continue to play Timlin at left back

Does Tims have some dodgy pictures of PB!!

Surely Hendrie, or even Elvis should be ahead of him now, played a key part in both Wigan's last 2 goals on Saturday!!

Didn't Wright used to play often on the right for Gillingham?

Wright is a central midfielder. That's where he won player of the year, and players player of the year at Gillingham. We won't see the best of him with his goal scoring threat until he plays in his proper position.
