Saw a group of ‘supporters’ leaving just after the 70th minute?

Why would you do that?

Cannot bear to see fans leaving early, always stay to the end personally

On that, if anyone thought we were leaving early, we weren't, we had to get up to X block to retrieve the flags and banners!

Awful game, and has been said, where would we be without Lenny!

Bury's timewasting tactics were tedious, they took so long over every throw in. It's always satisfying to see the away keeper suddenly hurrying to take goal kicks after dawdling all game. Thought Lee Clark looked like a duffer in his duffle coat.

I agree with previous comments that we are looking very crowded in midfield. We are trying too many fancy flicks and intricate passing moves which just aren't working as it's too congested. As has been said, we have some great players in our ranks, and hopefully we'll start playing a bit more like we were last season soon. The win should be a big confidence boost.

But we'll take the three points thank you very much!

The group I saw were walking out of the West Stand towards the turnstiles? I was exiting the gents to go back to block U (pre match beers !) and they definitely heading for the exit...

Some good comments on here; this game was no classic.

One point I definitely want to make is that I don’t think I’ve read enough fulsome credit for Oxley today - I thought he was immense - a couple of saves in particular got us out of jail.

Leonard a worthy MOM for a fine goal, an awesome bit of pacey tracking back to tackle and save what looked a certain goal - plus his usual high octane efforts throughout.

I thought Kights did really well considering he’s been out a while and rushed back in. Plenty of endeavour and some quality too but understandably looked a little rusty and not at full pace.

I also thought Ferdy had a good game and looked much better than of late - more composed, more mobile and more confident.

Overall 3 points was all we needed. It may be a cliché but it strikes me this season could go either way. We have plenty of ability and of course we’ve had defensive injuries but what worries me most is that we have all our best strikers available and we should have, well, buried Bury given then chances we had but it looked like nobody knew how to shoot. Fat Barry Fry would have called it ‘powder puff’. We need some serious shooting practice and perhaps the club really should try to get in a specialist striking coach just for a bit to help our forwards get back in form. No slight against our current coaches but perhaps a different voice might do the trick. You can have all the experience and talent in the world but if you can’t score you won’t win enough games. Simples.

We were saying in the East stand the same. Oxley has been fantastic all season, even in defeats like Wigan he has still been fantastic, Leonard won the game with the goal, but Oxley also got us the points with his saves. I came away thinking we deserved the win, but stats show that they had more shots on target, so again well done Oxley

Keep saying it - break the bank in offering him a contract he can't refuse. Probably the best all round player I've seen at Roots Hall.

One way and another, I didn't see too much of the game, but what I did see, apart from Lenny, I thought Wright, Demi and Fortune seemed to have a fair bit about themselves out on the pitch. The fact Oxley again delivered a confident performance means we might have a tendency to overlook his contribution - if he was Bentley no doubt we'd all be positively orgasmic, hey ho, that's the problem with following someone who is "one of our own".

Can't give scores today, didn't see enough.

The one thing he does need to improve on however is his goal scoring ratio. For someone of his ability and drive he should be getting 8-10 goals a season, doubt he has ever hit double figures

Oxley would have been my MoM if Leonard hadn't scored. He kept us in it again.

He isn't allowed to get forward enough. - and those throw ins.....

Two horse race for player of the season between those two imo with white a distant third and then a space to do the chasing pack

I agree, the Ox has been class all season. (And I haven't the time/will power to trawl back) BUT I do recall that several moaners wanted Ox binned/replaced before this season and even after his better performances prior to injury. Ox has played in a style to repay PB's faith in him, Hopefully Hendrie, Turner and others currently on the "maligned" target list can replicate Ox's turn around.

That list has been huuuuuugggggggeeeeeee over the years !

That's stretching things a bit too far, don't you think Danny?

That gag needed a comedy side effect drum sound.
Hard to describe in the written form , but something like : ba boom tiiissshhh ! ( so two thumps on the foot base pedal and a finish on the cymbals)
