I found this an interesting. I initially clicked on it because I thought 'It really is, Finley Burns cost £175k' but it wasn't what I thought at all.

If a player needs to move to a lower category academy for whatever reason, the new club could be liable for compensation based on the tuition the player received - something I didn't know - and if you have to look lower down the pyramid they are unlike to have the resources to do so.
 
I think the key here is that 85%+ of the time the compensation right is waived.

I wonder why Derby haven't agreed to waive it in this instance?
