A player who has been in all four divisions is a remarkable feat ........... but I mention Knight in particular because he was with the same club during that time.

Again I could be wrong but I also think it was his local club. Some achievement that.

I think that is about right, maybe Nile starting for MAF.

I haven't been to Portsmouth for more than 30 years. Last time I was at Fratton Park the club was building a team that would take them all the way to the top division and featured some great players such as Knight in goal. I think I am correct in thinking that Knight played for Portsmouth in all 4 divisions - not many players can make such a claim (in fact I would be interested to know if there are others).

Anyway, other than the win against Blackpool, they have lost their previous 3 matches. Same team as suggested by Danbury and fingers crossed for 3 points, a clean sheet and no yellow cards. Not asking much, is it?

King Billy Best played in all four divisions ( I think) not all for us though unfortunately

John Kurila (always a favourite of mine) must have played in at least three divisions if not all four.
In regard to the above the following players all played for Northampton Town in the following divisions.
Barry Lines played in 1960-61(Div.4); 1961-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2); 1967-69(Div.3), 1969-70(Div.4).
Mike Everitt played in 1960-61(Div.4); 1961-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2).
Terry Branston played in 1960-61(Div.4); 1961-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2).
Derek Leck played in 1958-61(Div.4); 1961-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1).
Don Martin played in 1962-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2); 1967-68(Div.3); 1975-76(Div.4),
1976-77(Div.3).
Billy Best played in 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2); 1967-68(Div.3); 1973-76(Div.4); 1976-77(Div.3), 1977-78(Div.4).
John Kurila played in 1962-63(Div.3); 1963-65(Div.2); 1965-66(Div.1); 1966-67(Div.2); 1967-68(Div.3). John then joined Southend United and played in Div.4 between 1968-70, he also played for Colchester United & Lincoln City both in Div.4.
Going back to Billy Best he played his final match in Div.1 for Northampton Town against West Ham United(won 2-1)on the 23rd.October 1965 and made his league debut in Div.4 for Southend United at Chester(0-0)on the 27th.January 1968. So in just a total of 828 days Billy had managed to play in all Four Divisions of the then Football League.
