here's a change of subject. Sitting here in Enfield with snow laying all around. What's it like in Southend and more specifically Roots Hall? How's the groundsman feeling?

A lot of snow down this way, today.

Forecast is much better by midweek.

I do fear for the pitch, though, if it starts to get waterlogged.

It's the low temperatures that we've got to worry about and the south stand end of the pitch, get them hot blowers ready now:stunned:

A flurry in Thurrock, not to deep.

According to that weather watch programme on countryfile, it's supposed to be warming up by the weekend, so thankfully it shouldn't be postponed. Although after this period of ground frost during the day & over night next week, I expect it will cut up more than ever on Saturday afternoon.

Covers were on last week when I was at the ground. It's not gone below freezing.

I wouldn't have thought so. It's gradually warming up after tomorrow, no more snow is forecast and it should be 3C+ by 12 noon & 4C+ by 3pm on Saturday.
