RIP Peter Wyngarde - another "cool" bloke from the late 60s/ early 70s, best known for playing Jason King.

Mark E Smith from The Fall aged 60.

I saw The Fall in Wakefield a couple years ago. I enjoyed the gig, but my abiding memory was watching Smith trying to remember where he had left his microphone after taking a wander round the stage every now and again.

One of my friends was a huge fan and saw as them often as he could because he knew he wouldn't last that long.

I saw them in Beziers bull ring in the mid-80's.Hugely overated (and a load of people had travelled up from Barcelona-like me-to see the gig) but RIP Mark E Smith.

Singer Paul Young's wife Stacey has died, aged just 52, from brain cancer - I think I'm right in thinking that she was a Southend girl. RIP Stacey.
