RICKY Duncan and Kevin Maher will be in charge of Southend United for Saturday’s clash at Rochdale.

Wonder if we have missed out on transfer and management targets. Paul lambert was Stokes 4th choice for the hot seat. Wonder if Ron is ringing down the list. How far down before Peter Taylors name pops up

Chill. Far more likely to be the fact the game is less than 48 hours away. If the manager deal isn't quite done you may as well let Maher and Duncan prepare the players for the match, let the new man watch from afar (while probably working on transfer incomings) before letting him take over on Monday morning for a nice fresh start.

There are enough senior pros in the squad to step up and stat leading by example on the pitch on Saturday. Cox, Fortune, Kightly, White, Ferdinand etc.

If they have the right mentality on the pitch then it should make the ask of Duncan & Maher easier.

Lets see

I think the fairest thing here is that we run a poll on the eleven we would select and then email Kev and Ricky and let them know the team for Saturday!

Yep I agree. This happens all the time when a club takes on a new manager

I would be asking the players how they want to play? Would guess 4-4-2 and try to keep the ball on the floor - trouble is at home the floor is moving under their feet - cannot play football on that pitch!
