November 2006 we played Plymouth at home and wore our white away kit. I would assume they only brought their green kit which obviously clashed with navy

Kit confusion, colour clashes, borrowed kit has been relatively common over the years. Scotland even borrowed Switzerland's change kit for an International - probably for the benefit of black and white TV viewers.

Not only on the players but their jerseys too had felt the strain of the Easter programme and the United took the field under the leadership of Woodland in black and white stripes
