The U23's won today, coming from 2-0 down to beat Bristol Rovers on 5-4 penalties. A couple of sending off's & an outfield player in goal.

I don't know when it will be, but our final will be against either Bristol City or Mk Dons.

If anyone's interested, the U18's are back in action tomorrow against Portsmouth at Boots & Laces (11:30am kick off).

Good late minute win for the Blues (3-2) against Pompey.

I believe the U23's are playing Plymouth later today (2pm kick off). I think it's away??

Pity we dont get any write ups about these games, but thanks to whoever puts up the results anyway.

Couple of pretty decent write ups on the Official Site. I've included the links to the recent matchs along with the section where the write ups normally appear.

Looks like today's game at Plymouth is on according to Plymouth twitter. Can't imagine we will have many fans there:smile: (Well apart from Phil Cox he must surely be there).

Apparently The Queen is in Plymouth today no doubt she will pop along to the match.

No team news on our Twitter or on Plymouths just a tweet about pasties!

1 nil to Plymouth in 1st minute!

Southend line up:-

Bishop, Humphrey, Clifford, Bedford, Matzuka, Coutts, Batlokwa, Howard, Ba, Walker, Cotton

They're actually playing it at Home Park which is perhaps surprising given the amount of rain down that way of late!

I'd like to hear what CP thinks of Ba... PB signed him based on watching him in training and it was only 2 weeks. I've always been hopeful that he has potential but at the same time not entirely convinced, like PB signed a young striker with pace to keep critics quiet.

FT 3-1. Match report indicated a strong second half from the lads before Plymouth scored a late 3rd against the run of play.
