These have just dropped through my letterbox along with an invitation to go to the AGM on 24/5/18

Any qualified accountants on here also seen a copy and care to comment?

Headline number loss = £2,055,359 (2016 loss = £1,417,228)

report says Fossetts application to be considered by council in summer 2018, interesting statement:

"We have not previously been this advanced in coordinating all the 'ingredients' and are doing so without the need of a 'partner'"

I was chatting with a client of mine this morning who is also a shareholder.

He mentioned the wage bill was £4.7million over 157 staff members (roughly £26,000 per person, though obviously there are highs and lows on this). It represented an increase of around £500,000 year on year which represents the increased loss above.

Not sure if I have that right?

Also, I think the club are in for around £17million to Ron. Again, not sure if that's right, as well?

Yes - both those figures are nearly right:

Wages £4,233,541 (2016 £3,676,790), total employees 157 (2016 129), of which playing training and coaching 105 (2016 85)

Debt to South East Leisure £16,608,938 (2016 £13,571,518)

OK great and many thanks 'shrimpergarry'.

So around 20 of the 28 extra staff are on the playing/coaching side. I'm guessing that will be more contracts for the youth players coming through?

Just got the accounts off the Companies house web site

2017 Loss 2.05M (2016 1.4M)

Turnover 5.6M (2016 5.47M)
Costs 5.63M (2016 4.88M)
Admin Exp 2.13M (2016 1.9M)

Cumulatve -18.6M (2016 -16.5M)

"highlights"
ticket sales 2.08M (2016 1.71M)
Player trading 1.147M (2016 1.431M)
TV income 0 (2016 90k)

Outgoings "highlights"

Rental 450K (2016 400k) although this is never physical paid over , just accrues to the intercompany debt

Wages 4.7M
Playing staff 105 (2016 85)
Establishment 46 (2016 39)
Directors 6 (2016 5)

creditors
Trade 1.19M (2016 1.092m)
intercompany 17.6M (2016 14.57m)
(SEL 16.6m Metzcal 1M)

so another 2M loss , after 1M of transfer income, club being propped up by intercompany loans from parent company SEL

I'm not sure whether it is a head count as at that date or the number employed during that period. If the latter, it could be higher due to transfer churn (eg include players who have since left).

Yes, good point 'Yorkshire'

Accounts show Nil TV revenue against previous year's £90 000. Not a single penny of tv money is poor.

No cup runs.

I think the previous year we actually had a rare televised League One match - the Oxford game Lozar had his one good match in.

I think the 2015-16 live games were the two at home to Burton Albion and Sheffield United.

How does it work with the SKY money in general, though. I thought all clubs got something for the sponsorship of the divisions and the goal rights?
