Not very often I do this, but I am linking to an article in the most recent newsletter by a very brave Junior Blue whose mummy died suddenly a year ago.

If it doesn't hit you in the feels then you're a stronger person than most.

There you go. A very brave little girl, yeah, reading it got to me.

Such a brave girl along with her brother Ethan. Jessica is in my daughters class at school and they are friends. The family have been through such a tough time, its nice to see Southrnd giving them some joy

Didn't know that, the school have been great too, very supportive.

The school have been very good. The family had a table sale recently at St.Lawrence Church Hall and thy school sent some of the choir to sing a few songs. The table sale raised a lot of money for C.R.Y and there was a signed Southend shirt as one of the raffle prizes.

I had a chat with Jason at the Sponsors evening and he was very happy to sort out a signed shirt for Jess. We really do have a great bunch of players, Anton and Coxy took two other JBs on the pitch walk and Harry Kyp sorted out a signed shirt for Jess' brother.

Touching article. Made my eyes sweat a bit.

Well done to both the players, and the club for getting involved in this.
