Me too actually, because at the very least, them not being there now will focus all their attention on what they do best, anti-Englishness...

I had an interesting debate the other night about if we DID win the WC in 2010 wouldn't that be a good thing for Scotland as it would stop the "oh so evil & racist English media" harping on about 1966? Seemingly, that scenario, did not compute...

I do hope at least one other British team qualifies, would be good for rivalry. Feel a bit sorry for the Scots, they've been so close in a lot of campaings recently. They seem to perform well against the big nations then slip up against mickey mouse countries like Macedonia and Faroe Islands.
