Let me get this right, you are complaining that our club is using the loan system to better out team with players that otherwise we would not be able to attract/afford to improve our chances of promotion. Federici, Sawyer and Christophe have all been great aquisitions, originally when we have been light in a position due to injury.

Obviously the other big one being Hal RK who is just class and would never be able to play for us otherwise.

I really dont get you Wiggy

We'll have to agree to disagree. What really winds me up is a poster who moans about everything under the sun when things aren't going well but buggers off and doesn't post anything when we go on a winning run. OK so this time wiggy has actually posted when we're doing well but as usual it's a negative post that is so typical of her. It really does make me wonder why wiggy even bothers to support Southend at all. Pretty much every time she posts on here she gets slaughtered, well she should ask herself why that is.......

I'd love to someday read a positive post from wiggy (and I'd applaud it) but I won't hold my breath, she is the Victor Meldrew of this board. Sadly it seems she has never got over Darryl's exit despite the fact that a vastly superior keeper has now joined the club. I've had many a debate on here and for all of them I am prepared to listen to each and every opinion and am not so arrogant to think of myself as always right, however wiggy does herself no favours by only posting negative comments (even in prosperous times) and that is the reason why most people on here see her as a joke figure. IMHO the only person to blame for that is wiggy herself.

Why do we all bite as soon as Wiggy posts. What would have really annoyed him/her is if all her threads had no replies, now that would be funny!!!

To give a balanced view, there are very few new threads/posts on this board and I've found myself spending little time on this section of the board at the moment because of the lack of new material to read!

What I think people should note is that despite what people think of wiggy and despite perceptions, wiggy does more often than not still come on here after we win. (Even if arguing that we shouldn't have conceded the first goal and wouldn't have done if Darryl was between the sticks!). TTK on the other hand, causes just as much of a stir and NEVER comes on here when we win. Wiggy has been on here after every single one of our victories in the last 4 games, and posted around 35 posts what I can see (yes I have time on my hands!). TTK on the other hand has very rarely even logged in and has not made a single post since our last defeat. Last post was on 08 September 2008. Without a doubt, he will be back as soon as we lose. Whether that's the next game or in 10 games time. That's what I really dislike.

Wiggy in fairness has actually posted some positive and even said last week Fed was better than Flavs. Most people appear to have looked over that comment! I agree Wiggy does post a little bit too much negativity, however just judging my the fact this thread is now the second largest (soon to be the largest) thread on the first page, she does indeed create some opinions and flow on the SZ.com boards....

Thanks for that Ein. Yes i do talk positive when it is just, would love to keep this team till the end of the season. Solid keeper rather than a doddery one, great midfield with Sawyer chipping in, Barney and Freeds to stay injury free.
Long may it continue however being pessimistic think it will get worse, why do i get lambasted for that opinion, thought it was supposed to be about different views on here!

Long live the Wigster. Without his opinions there would be a lot of the same old same old stuff on here and rather than a debating forum it would be a lets all agree on everything forum.

It does sometimes appear that people will not slag off a player just because he plays for Southend.

Shame you don't get more involved with posts regarding non football matters, I am sure you would liven up the debate.

You had any good bets lately Wig? I did a winning goal after the 35th minute for the Orient game for 3 quid a minute. That first minute goal cost me a few quid, but luckily I also did Dougies goal minutes which helped balance the books.

I suppose you had a few hundred on us that night to win 3-0

Keep it quiet but i originally backed us at 14/1 to go down, and then Freedman turned up. All change up front, now backing us to beat anyone [until Mildy comes back anyway]!

Kevin Betsy - Fast becoming one of my "WTF is he doing here" players.

I will slag him off as he is IMHO the outfield Mildy, in fact I think he's just a more developed Scannell, both can twist and turn but can they do anything with the ball?

That said he did alright with Leemond Van Barneveld's goal against the Snooze it's just so frustrating seeing him not to be able to do that little extra, but then, if he could do that little extra time and again he wouldn't be here.

Pity the transfer window has closed, could have moved you to the spurs equivelant of shrimper zone (loan deal ) You could have hours of Discussing and groaning on there.

See there's the rub Wignette. I've spoken out for you on a number of occasions and I've shot you down on many others but it cuts both ways.

You've got strong views and I for one think the Zone would always be the lesser for you not being on here but for the last 5-6 years you've more than enjoyed your role as pantomime villain and prophet of doom in an era where we've enjoyed a predominant run of success.

When you slate everyone else for not calling for Tilson out every time we lose two matches, slap them with rose-tinted labels, dismiss them as sheep because they can't see Bailey's water-passing inadequacies, or castigate them because they haven't spotted RM's plan to put us into the conference... you're going to expect the odd comment back.

Just don't start a "You're all boring" thread and then give it the old "Why do I get lambasted?" rubbish.

What we started the season with was diabolical and the results proved that. Tilson amazed me by signing a player who could let's face it could do a lot better, very good loan signings and the dismissal of a park keeper Joyce when his chance came along. My opinion of old stick in the mud Tilson has changed a bit how he has pulled that original starting eleven around but not sure it will last. Anyway despite what people on here think, i can praise success, can admit there are more complete keepers around than Flahavan and will enjoy future wins with Southend Utd.

Three points to make on this thread:

1. Yes, it's become more boring on SZ, but we've always got the chance to spend time elsewhere on the internet.

2. Never,ever criticise a SZ co-owner,or you will be reprimanded. One of them uses the 'F' word when he PMs me !

3. For Wiggy, I spoke to a good friend of Flavs the other day and can confirm he is enjoying it at Palace with not playing softened by the blow of considerably more in wages and the security of a three year contract.

Of course he was too short as Ron and the mangement confirmed after about six seasons, second highest appearances for a SUFC keeper and a club record of clean sheets. Quick to form an opinion, three keepers have not replaced him with a short-term solution currently in place.

The stats would back it up too - after 8 league games last season we'd 'only' conceded 12 compared to 13 this time around and we'd already made the trip to Elland Road by then.

Glad I've missed 8 of these.
