Was the youth team keeper on the bench on Saturday?

Is there an embargo again? With all the changes, our squad hasn't increased in size as it's been one in, one out... does this explain why the new centre back and possible new striker hasn't signed?

Joyce didn't seem injured as he was warming up.

Sorry if this has been answered already.

ian joyce had/has the flu

Kept meaning to post this myself FBM.

If that is right Bobby, then why even travel/warm up if he has flu?

Sometimes it helps to 'sweat it out,' although another school of thought is that you shouldn't do any exercise when you're under the weather.

I'm cynical - like FBM seems to be. I'm sure if he had flu, he wouldnt have traveled, let alone be kitted out flinging himself around a wet pitch just to then sit on the bench for (most likely) 90mins in the cold.

I'd have thought, with Influenza being contagious, it'd be a wiser move to keep him away from our already thread-bare squad?

While I can understand the cynicism, I'm not sure about another embargo. After all we signed Spencer, extended the loans of Malone & MVoto, and signed Paterson on a permanent deal. If there were still an embargo we could not have made incoming transfers.

I think the whole Joyce thing has revolved around a % of the wage bill.

To be honest, with Barney going out and Paterson coming in, I'm sure there is a deficit in our favour wages wise - but does seem suspicious that Joyce didnt feature again after transfer activity.

The Football League has introduced a new ruling last week which means Clubs are only allowed to include one person with a perm in a match day squad. This week, Spencer was choosen over Joyce. Expect to see them rotated in the coming weeks.

Probing into something that is more than likely nothing. Speculation will only increase frustration. Ian Joyce is on facebook. Add him and find out. Being as no one at the club will reply to you.

Could it be that the young boy has done well ,andTilly is starting to ''blood'' him for the future....or am I being too positive/naive?

The goalkeeper that has made the bench in recent weeks, Bentley isn't it?

He is actually very highly rated in our youth team and Joyce, apparently, isn't that fancied and had Mildenhall's injury been worse you could have expected a new goalkeeper to come in on loan.

Joyce will more than likely be gone in the summer. The only way I can see him staying is because he is cheap, not because he is that good. Certainly doesn't appear to be serious competition to Mildenhall for the number 1 spot.

I was in the ground before any players came out to warm up and didn't see Joyce out there............... It was Bentley and Mildy right from the beginning.......
