So here we are the third away game of Chris Powell's return and time in charge at the Mighty Shrimpers.

It is now time for ALL of us to get behind him and the team whether you are at Crown Oil Arena, listening on the radio, or watching on ifollow.

Chris Powell's 3rd Southend United Away Team

Oxley, Demetriou, Ferdinand, Turner, Coker (C), Yearwood, Wright, Wordsworth, Kightly, Fortune, Harrison.

Subs: Bishop, Kyprianou, Timlin, McLaughlin, Mantom, Cox, Ladapo

The new pitch looks good at Crown Oil Arena compared to the last time.

Interesting line up, quite surprised he has gone with Wright again and dropped Cox.

Coxy on the bench........carrying an injury? It will be interesting to see how we cope with that formation. Pitch looks good.

I’m very glad they haven’t got any substitutes.

Team news: Two changes for Blues at Rochdale

SOUTHEND United manager Chris Powell has made two changes to his starting line-up for tonight’s clash at Rochdale.

Who once again, is going to sit in front off the back four, with Timlin out. I dont see anybody in that midfield putting a tackle in,

Why have they photoshopped Cokers face on to Demi’s body? Look at the neck and the creases in shirt, identical.

Am unsure on the formation, always felt like whenever we deviated from 4-4-2 we ended up playing poorly under Brown. Hopefully different story with Powell tactics. Glad Wright is with us for another season, with the right players around him he could be alright, the balance to this team doesn’t seem to do him any favours!

I think you'll find Yearwood is pretty good at putting a tackle in!!

It's a late game...the radiogram is tuned in via my crystal server...I have told the missus to kick me if I fall asleep...

completely agree, where is a 'ball winner'
We havr two players only just come back from a long layoff, who are not noted for there work rate, and thats our central midfield, sorry i dont get it, away from home as well.
