Hi Guys, I am currently in my final year at University of Essex studying a BA (Hons) in Music Production. As part of my Dissertation I am looking to discover if it may or may not be possible to differentiate Programmatic Music (music to tell a story) and general Romantic Music.

It would be much appreciated if you could spare 10 minutes of your time to fill out this questionnaire for me.

And yes, I am a Southend United fan

Thanks

It's an interesting theory but don;t all composers have a story to tell from their work ?
And the symbolisum would come to teh listener (if not prompted by a 3rd party ) based on culture, knowledge and experience ??

Completely disagree.

I defy anyone, of any culture to listen to the Rocky theme and not want to go out and give someone a kicking.

done,
interesting subject for dissertation, i did mine on high samplerate/bitrate recording and new audio formats,
its amazing how many people couldnt hear the difference between an MP3 at 128 and a SACD 48k 24 bit cd!

good luck btw,
