From what I've seen this season (though I admit I only saw Gilbert play against Derby) I think the best back 4 we could put up at the moment might be Gilbert, Barker, Mohsni, Clohessy? I thought Barker looked good in the centre when he stood in for Coughlan against Vale and by all accounts he was impressive against Wolves in that role too?

Would love to keep him here for the season. Ok, he had a mare on Saturday but who didn't ?

Looked very good at CB with Mohsni aswell.

Yep, agree with those here... Barker here for the season would be a tremendous asset as he's comfortable across the back four, experienced and dependable. Bring him in, ship Herd out on loan for some games and it's Win-Win for everybody.

Herd needs to play football, we need an experienced player. So it definitely is win-win.

Agreed, as long as we're not spending tonnes on Barkers wages, I wonder what he's on as a 30 year old defender from the CCC? I assume we're not paying the whole whack.

Good player to have though.

well, he was absolute cack on saturday, slow out of position, couldnt pass, couldnt tackle or head, but enough people have said hes been pretty good in the other games, so good news!
