My Cousin was a Policeman until he was invalided out when someone (probably Barna) hit him with a lump of wood a Grunwick

Paternal grandfather was a resident professional tennis coach to Sir Philip Sassoon at Trent Park, Cockfosters during the 1920s and 30s. Practised with many of his guests including Sir Anthony Eden and Charlie Chaplin.

My grandparents in Southend used to own a hotel on the seafront. My grandmother was also a boxing correspondent for a local paper as well as playing violin in an orchestra. That's all on my dad's side.

My mum's uncle is an actor who did more theatre than TV, but was on Bergerac semi regularly. He was also the first story teller on Jackanory. My sister told me a story last night about when she was doing her English A level: the teacher put on a video of a Shakespeare play and part way through she piped up, "Oh my god, that's my uncle!"

The daughter of one of my mum's cousins is also an MP.

Dick Spooner was the best police liason officer Southend have ever had. Firm but always fair. Got me out of a few situations over the years. A good old fashioned copper.

Little sister- works in Argos warehouse in Basildump

I had a friend who worked at Skiddybarochee.

He foolishly fired a BB gun into the air when arseing around instead of doing his job and was badly lacerated by a falling strip light he had hit requiring multiple stitches in A&E.

Luckily no kids were hurt.

We're on to friends now? Most of my long term friends (if not all) have worked in the Railway since they were 16 - however they're higher up the tree than me as they don't spend the majority of their day on football social meedja sites :smile: Their loss. :thumbsup:
