St John's hospital Chelmsford so 20miles according to google, I had to reassure myself that I was closer to Southend than Colchester and luckily they are 26 miles away

Never been more than 5 1/2 miles from the ground in my 51 years.......

I actually do have a soft spot for them as Loftus Road was one of the first grounds I ever visited back on the early '80s.
 
Most of us a certain age would have been born in Rochford Hospital. My kids were born in Southend Hospital though.

The Drive , Rochford 1966. A stones throw from Rochford Hospital. Had to be different to those being born at Rochford Hospital.
Lived in Rochford until moving to Wickford and then the Netherlands only to end up back in Rochford !
