Like the team photo on the Facebook page. Do I spot Tony Currie in the back row? He would be a coup! Mind you does a warm up count for eligibility?

Funny you should mention Tony, we have already earmarked him as a potential member. Just need to find him, tho he might think we are taking the **** a bit! He certainly does qualify to join, SUEPA is open to anyone that has registered as a SUFC player irrespective of whether or not they made the first team ... plus previous coaching staff too.

Yep - could be interesting ....... I certainly hope I can get Dave Smith on board, I recall one or two folk know how to get in touch with him so please shout if you do!
Anyone know where Colin Murphy and Dick Bate live .

Well done Andy, good interview that.

.........And you managed to only mention your book once!!

Take a look at SUEPA on Twitter or FB - a whole host of legends just signed up this eve and including one, the last one, which might amaze you and show that the club are really behind this initiative.

Drooo will make it 52 - got a couple in the Q before him, including a great one at 50.

Keep following the SUEPA Twitter and FB pages folks, just 12 days in now and:

- 52 ex player members fully signed up with loads more promised to be on the verge of signing
- some great names signed up already (aside from Billy), such as Tilly, Peter Taylor, King Kev, Paul Byrne, Dave Martin, Dave Elliott, Flavs, McCormack, Mercer, Spenno, Moody, Crown, Cawston .........
- and Donut who by the way is being great in spreading the SUEPA word and getting others signed up
- and that bloke who put the ball in the Bury net
- plus some great names from the past you might have forgotten but make you think 'oh yeah, I remember him' eg John Linford who scored 3 in 6 on loan from Ipsh ite in the 80's and who appears in a pic which I posted up on what was (until mobile phone times in recent years) the only time since '71 that I ever took a camera to Roots Hall
- and others like Mark Hone who has got really engaged on the SUEPA thing, helps run the same for Lincoln, and who will be getting us new names he hopes (including an ex SUFC manager)
- and we've even via one old 1960's player an old cine film about the club (no, not the United We Stand thing) which we are desperate to find more out about
- and we are in contact with other ex player associations to share and learn
- plus some fans are actively out on scouting missions to get in more names for us
- and we even now have some SUEPA leaflets printed

We have circa 650 Twitter followers so far (only one porn lady) and over 250 on the Facebook page which folk are rating 'five stars'

Adam B is on the case - a quote on it all from him to be posted up this eve, the SUFC backroom staff are behind it and helping, I'll be annoying Sir Stan about it tomorrow eve, we have a double page spread in the match prog on Saturday, I gave a stumbling interview re it on BBC Essex the other day, an Echo article will follow when Mr Phillips calms down about the managerial change, and generally the banter on it all on social media is all positive with lots of folk sharing their memories when a new ex player's signing to SUEPA is posted up (all posts have a pic or two as well)

So if you are SUEPA engaged then great, if not get yourself over to Twitter/FB and follow to join in.

Well, SUEPA has a deadline day striker signing ...... Stuart Parker. Oh that last minute winner v Cardiff in '76, happy days! Just announced with a few pics on our Twitter and Facebook pages. Stuart makes it 65 ex players/coaching staff on board so far.

I was there! Dave Worthington jumped into the west stand to celebrate with the fans!

Yellow card offence nowadays no doubt.

Yep, was there too - I'm sure that after the game the draw for Rd 5 was relayed live over the tanoy - anyone recall that?

Dave Worthy is my favourite SUFC player - not the best, that must surely be Stan or Fred, but Dave was whole-hearted every game and always seemed to be encouraging the West Stand to get up for it

Don't know why Andy hasn't posted this list here - it's something he deserves a huge amount of credit for:

Having reached the end of our first month we thought you'd like to see a list of all those who have so far joined SUEPA - see below (not typed out in any particular order), not a bad squad we think you'll agree.
We set a provisional target of 50 - we are delighted to announce that we have easily exceeded that with 65 members so far and there are many active leads out there to bring more in. No transfer deadline applies to us!
Thank you to you all for your interest so far in SUEPA - so many great comments/memories coming in. We know too from the comments received that the ex-players appreciate this.
We will issue our first Newsletter during February. For now our goal is to continue to grow the SUEPA squad but we will give thought to arranging the occasional SUEPA event.
If you do have any leads for contacting ex-players please continue to get in touch. The best way to do this is by email: suepassoc@gmail.com
Thanks, SUEPA
