Play up Pompey on Tuesday!

I am just praying that Pompey win their cup replay on Tuesday and so our match on Feb 16th is postponed.

Think positive. Portsmouth haven't won a single one of their last seven first team matches and the only League win so far this year was beating the 9 points adrift bottom club at home by the narrowest of margins on New Year's Day. A good time to play them ?

Only one thing to say to you...Saturday November 24th away at AFC Wimbledon. We are just the side to play after a long run without a win.

Think they may have dropped a clanger and the alarm bells are ringing.

We should be OK unless they play their reserve team.

If we play with the same spirit and determination against pompey as we did yesterday then there is every chance of a positive result

That's not thinking positive !

You could have said Saturday 10th February 1996. When we arrived at the Hawthorns the Baggies had lost 14 out of their previous 15 games, the other being a 0-0 draw, and were lying 24th in League Division One (Championship); we were 4th. Teams that had beaten them in that run included Grimsby and Port Vale.
A couple of Bob Taylor goals helped them to their first win since they played .........Portsmouth!! nearly four months earlier.
That result turned their fortunes and they only lost two more all season securing a top half finish, unlike us. Portsmouth avoided relegation on goal difference.

Talking about bells I expect that fan of theirs will be in the North Bank making a noise throughout the game.

He was in there a few weeks ago, so def would expect to hear him on Saturday.
Dig out the drum, & have that banging all game in W Block. Also create the same atmosphere as yesterday, & should be able to drown out the continuous 'clang a lang' of his bell

Be interesting to see the segregation....2,000 tickets allocated to Pompey......v.similar to the Luton game I guess ? It was very cosy in the North-West corner

Over 1,000 sold so far according to Pompey twitter.
Home ticket sales currently 5,230 plus the usual ones not shown on the ticket thing means probably about 5,500 sold so far. Hopefully should be 7,000+ crowd.

One thing I have noticed is Ron is giving away so many free tickets away in the South Lower this season.

Ta. 2,026 seats / 25pct of home capacity (excl. blocks X, Y, Z) allocated for a Family Section seems a high ratio. More so when South Lower always appears fairly empty.
