Post-Match Thread and Ratings Southend v West Ham X1 23rd July

E6_xZ5RXsAAN1bT

Sayers getting more minutes at LB, only recently signed him to the under 23s.

Wonder who the trialist on the left wing is.

Sayers?

Whose that?

Charlie Sayers. Was on trial with the under 18s at the back end of last season and was signed this summer from Bowers & Pitsea.

Think he has played for the under 23s in pre-season and against Great Wakering in the second half.

Bench is:

Idem (GK, trialist), Howard, Clifford, Mitchell-Nelson, Tommy Davis (youth CB?), Ferguson, Egbri, Kinali, Chandler and 4 trialists.

Trialists are Idem (GK), Hamzad Kargbo (QPR), Matt Dennis (Norwich), Will Atkinson, Deon Moore, and Yasin Ben El-Mhanni.

Friendly or not, that lineup sends shivers down my spine. Alarm bells.

New kit is divine though.

Filled up fairly well.

Dissapointed as I sacked off a pre match pint in the spread to go in the goundsmans. No card payment. When is this club going to enter the 21st century?

Last pint I had in the ground tasted like it had been poured through an old pair of pants.
